Long Distance Hiking Gear and Invention Revue (part 1)
G-FORCE (Gear FOR Cruising Effortlessly)

Fresh from Tom's morning cocktail party, the judges are ready to make
decisions that may affect someone's life. Above left, Brian Robinson tries to
cheat by peeking at Read Miller's notes. Above right, judges Jason Cramer, Read
Miller, Brian Robinson, and Glen Van Peski appear to be interested in Hawkeye's
shelter.
The
winner of the G-FORCE contest was Luke "The Original Amigo"
Snyder--and not because of this silly broken plastic fork he was trying
to pitch as a great invention. Amigo walked off with a wonderful,
amazing, outstanding prize of priceless value--a pre-release G5
pack by GVP Gear,
weighing in under 6 ounces while providing over 3,000 cubic
inches and a hip belt. It was personally autographed and
authenticated by the creator (Glen Van Peski) and by the first Calendar
Year Triple Crown hiker (Brian Robinson). |
