8:00 Carbo loading, Part I. 2005 thru-hiker-to-be Dat Nguyen has arranged to get hundreds of donuts from Krispy Kreme and bagels from Noah's Bagels. Nothing for Atkins dieters here. We'll set them out in site 14 for your gluttonous enjoyment.
7:30-4:30 Trail maintenance project; meet with Pete Fish in site 8 (or meet at campground entrance at 7:45)

  • Go for a hike or make it a zero day
  • Alcohol stove making demonstrations
  • Vendors showing the latest cool, ultralight gear in sites 22-24
  • ADZPCTKO T-shirts for sale in site 13
  • Guidebooks, maps, and PCT logo gear for sale at the PCTA store in site 43
2:00 Chuckie V directs the first annual Bring Out Your Most Useless Item Contest, featuring celebrity judges and fabulous prizes. If you have any doubts about whether you should carry a particular item from here to Canada, these folks will set you straight. Site 15.
5:00 The Class of 2004 is dishing up dinner; 2005 thru hikers go to the front of the line. Site TBD.
6:30-11:00 Evening program at the Theater Without Walls (by site 15)
